Prerequisites for European Standard Scenarios STS1 & STS2
Participants wishing to enroll in the STS training must have obtained their A1/A3 certificate; otherwise, their STS certification cannot be validated.
Furthermore, participants are required to demonstrate at least ten hours of flight time before attending the STS training. These flight hours must, at a minimum, allow participants to master the following skills:
- Safely power the drone on and off;
- Take off and landing;
- Master the controls in Mode 2 (ascending, descending, moving forward, backward, and yawing);
- Understand the key piloting parameters, such as the GPS/ATTI mode and the use of the compass.
If a participant has no prior experience with a drone, it is strongly recommended to first complete the A2 training.
